  • Account Termination: We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, provide fraudulent data, or engage in malicious behavior that disrupts the Platform’s operations.

3. User-Generated Content and Community Guidelines

Users may post reviews, ratings, comments, photos, and event submissions (“User Content”) on our public directories. By publishing User Content on Malaysiawide.com, you agree to adhere to the following rules:
 
  • Authenticity: Reviews and ratings must reflect genuine, personal experiences. Fake reviews, paid promotional manipulation, or retaliatory review-bombing are strictly prohibited.
  • Prohibited Content: You may not post content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, threatening, harassing, racially or ethnically offensive, or infringing upon the intellectual property rights of others.
  • License Grant: By submitting User Content, you grant Mediawide Limited a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, and display such content across our promotional and platform infrastructure.

4. Directory Submissions and Merchant Terms

If you submit, claim, or manage a business profile, venue directory, or event listing as a merchant or organizer, you agree to the following operational parameters:
 
  • Authorization: You warrant that you are the authorized owner or legal representative of the business entity being claimed or listed.
  • Data Integrity: You agree to maintain accurate business hours, current contact channels, precise physical addresses, and factual descriptions.
  • Verification and Quality Control: All listings are subject to verification by our Onboarding Specialist and Quality Officer. We reserve the absolute right to reject, modify, or unpublish any listing that fails our quality assurance standards or safety protocols.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

All materials displayed or performed on the Platform—including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, website design, search algorithms, software code, database structures, and interactive widgets—are the exclusive property of Mediawide Limited or its licensed content providers. They are protected by international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws. You may not scrape, copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Platform without explicit written consent from Mediawide Limited

6. Data Privacy and Geolocation

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. The Platform utilizes device geolocation data to deliver localized discovery features. By using these services, you acknowledge and consent to the collection and processing of your location parameters in strict alignment with the Malaysia Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).

While our operational team performs daily audits, we do not warrant that listing details are entirely error-free, uninterrupted, or perfectly accurate.
  • Third-Party Interactions: We are not responsible or liable for your interactions, transactions, or safety when visiting third-party businesses, booking external event tickets, or using workspaces listed on our platform.
  • Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mediawide Limited and its directors, employees, or operational agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of, or inability to use, the Platform.

8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Use shall be governed by, construed, and enforced in accordance with the laws governing Mediawide Limited, without regard to conflict of law principles.
